It’s such a challenge to truly feel beautiful in this ‘celebrity perfect body’ focused world. Sometimes, when we look in the mirror, we note all the imperfections – things we want to change (we want to be bigger, or smaller; more tanned or lighter skinned; have straighter or curlier hair; the list goes on). We forget that we were made beautiful. We are already beautiful and we just need to learn to see it and to accept ourselves just as we are.
I stumbled upon a photo collection of celebrity plastic surgeries gone bad, and I was amazed at the strong urge these celebrities felt to change their appearances. The more visible we are, the more the pressure to conform to the society’s idea of perfection. Unfortunately, the end results were not as beautiful as their natural looks, and it is now too late to go back.
Let’s stay beautiful. 💖
