It’s been years since I saw my beautiful Russian friend as she moved to Bribie Island a couple of years ago, and travels to Russia every Christmas. This year though, she didn’t travel and so yesterday we finally took a day trip to hang out with her family. It was a gorgeous day, playing by the seaside with her daughter, eating sandwiches & seafood platters and finally enjoying Russian tea and sweets. She and her husband were telling me about how they’ve named a way of eating BBQ (add peanut butter to the bread roll) after me (A La Nancy!). This goes back to 2011 or so when we went for a BBQ at their place and suggested eating our hot-dogs with peanut butter instead of the usual. Now they convince their visitors to try it. What a beautiful friendship of over 10 years!
My heart was full of joy after the reunion and I look forward to more adventures with her this year! 😍
