Let Yourself Rest

We’re at busy stages of our lives. We’re either working, mothers, wives, business owners or a combination of a few. So we’re pretty busy. Sometimes, in my own journey, I find that I keep trying to give a 100% to everything on my plate but once I get exhausted my decisions are no longer optimal. I need to consciously force myself to hands-off, switch off and rest.

The way I’m doing this is to rest from blogging on certain days – currently Wednesdays & Sundays. This breaking away for a little while helps me come back with fresh perspective. I am also able to rekindle my creativity by reading or just having a siesta.

On my quest to flourish, I’m learning that all work and no rest limits my potential. We need to find a balance between work, rest and play so we can flourish and live our best life. In order to achieve this, we have to be intentional in finding what works for us and taking action to turn it into a healthy habit.
